  March 2000   Happinet Corporation listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
      Bandai Korea Co., Ltd. established.
      Bandai's i-mode mobile phone content a big success, with over 1 million paid subscribers.
  May 2000   Bandai invests in Sotsu Agency
  September 2000   Bandai spins off its Network Department to form a new group company, Bandai Networks.
  October 2000   Capital tie-up with Seika Note Co., Ltd. (presently Seika Co., Ltd.).
      Banpresto is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  December 2000   Wonderswan Color released.
  March 2001   The first Gundam animation series begins airing in the US.
      BHK Trading Ltd. established.
  July 2001   Shipments of Gashapon HG series top 100 million units.
  August 2001   1/12-scale (Height: 1.5m) Zaku model creates a stir at "C3 PRE" character culture event.

  November 2001   Bandai Visual is listed on JASDAQ.
  March 2002   Bandai Channel established by four companies: Bandai, Sunrise, Bandai Visual and Bandai Networks, to implement visual content distribution for the broadband era.
  July 2002   Tsukuda Original joins the Bandai Group.
  March 2003   Banpresto listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
      Tsukuda Original and Wakui Corporation merge under the new name of Palbox Co., Ltd.
  April 2003   Start of new 3-Year Medium-term Management Plan.
      Yutaka Co., Ltd. changes name to Popy Co., Ltd.
      Game software '.hack' ships over 1 million units in Japan and the US (combined).
  May 2003   Bandai invests in confectionery maker, Tohato Inc.
  July 2003   Opening of the Bandai Museum, a museum offering character-based entertainment.
  August 2003   Bandai enters into a cooperation with Mega Bloks Inc. - the world's second largest manufacturer of toy building blocks - and enters the building-block market.
  October 2003   Total number of Bandai Channel viewings tops 3 million.
  November 2003   Bandai Networks listed on JASDAQ.
  December 2003   Bandai Visual listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  March 2004   Real Dream Doraemon Project gives birth to its first-born product with the launch of Doraemon the Robot.
      Tamagotchi Plus launched.
      Total shipments of "Mobile Suit Gundam" series video games top 20 million units.
      Opening of Cosmetic Parlor, a shop specializing in children's cosmetics.
  April 2004   New Headquarters Building completed.
      World Toy Museum opened in Karuizawa, exhibiting antique toys.
      Banpresto concludes basic agreement to take over the running of Asakusa Hanayashiki amusement park.
  May 2004   Film "Nobody Knows" (Daremo Shiranai), co-produced by Bandai Visual. Lead Yuya Yagira wins the Best Actor award at the Cannes International Film Festival.
      Bandai participates in the Shanghai Internation Character Expo 2004 - China's first character event. The event attracts 100,000 visitors over 9 days.
      Total shipments of "Zatchbell The Card Battle" top 300 million units.
  July 2004   Movie "Steamboy" (directed by Katsuhiro Otomo) released.
      Comprehensive master licensing contract concluded with Sanrio for the character Cinnamoroll.
  November 2004   Bandai Museum welcomes its 1 millionth visitor.
      Shuku Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamgotchi Plus released.
