Efforts to Reduce Environmental Impact |
BANDAI has made repeated efforts to use resources more efficiently and reduce its waste emissions. For example, we reduced package sizes in terms of dead space and reconsidered the materials used for packing and outer cartons. An important part of our environmental policy at BANDAI is to work to reduce waste production at the user level. For example, the runners used to hold small plastic model parts are discarded after the user has built the model, so we are using new approaches at the design stage and proprietary molding technologies to minimize the size of these runners. In addition, we have started examining possibilities for the recycling of resources through strict separation of industrial waste materials.

Environmental Conservation at BANDAI Hobby Center |

| Large sized solar panels installed on the facility wall |
At BANDAI Hobby Center, we are carrying out a variety of strategies to promote environmental conservation. Solar panels installed on the outer walls of the Hobby Center generate a total of 56,000 kWh annually, which is used to power the facility, while a water recycling system processes 2,000 tons of rain and groundwater annually. We are also working to add greenery to the roof of the facility. |
