Since
its initial Japanese broadcast run in 1979, the beloved mecha
anime series Mobile Suit Gundam has spawned numerous television
series, feature-length films, and original video animations,
capturing the hearts of fans old and new across the globe.
The latest Gundam TV series is Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the first
Gundam series to be set in the non-fictional AD timeline. Mobile
Suit Gundam 00 tells the story of the private armed organization
Celestial Being utilizing humanoid machines powered by solar
reactors known as Gundam, in a bid to eradicate continuing
conflict between the three superpower blocs.
The BANDAI NAMCO Group has several events scheduled in 2009 to
celebrate the 30th anniversary of the initial broadcast of
the original Gundam series. |
